Hints & tips
Hi!
Below are some helpful tips to help you to produce a winning design entry.
- Use some time to explore and develop different ideas; you might like to discuss some of your sketches with a family member.
- Remember you are designing a clothing logo for young people of your age.
- You may want to aim your design at males or females in particular.
- Take time to consider the best way to get your message across.
- Choose a principle(s) that you feel strongly about; this will help to bring out your passion and creativity.
- Consider which words, colours, numbers, symbols patterns or images you will use and why.
- Experiment with different mediums (e.g. pencils, crayons, felt-tips). Don’t use tools that will smudge easily.
- Remember; take care not to share your design ideas with other competitors.
- Your logo must be designed by you the young person aided only by parents or teachers in the manner normally applied to all other school course work.
- Your design will be judged by other young people on three criteria:
(i) Creativity;
(ii) Originality;
(iii) Strength of the Message it is promoting.
